In early 2017, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and the Dallas Urban Debate Alliance (DUDA) envisioned a public debate where the best Dallas ISD debaters could compete. The inaugural Mayor’s Cup Public Debate was a huge success. The 2nd Annual Public Debate highlighted four outstanding Dallas ISD debaters. Students competed at the spectacular Debate Chamber at Old Parkland. Alex More, Partner, Carrington Coleman served as the moderator of the debate.
