Our Mission

The Dallas Urban Debate Alliance is committed to providing Dallas ISD students with the transformational skills gained through academic debate. These include critical thinking, advanced research, argument formulation, refutation, questioning strategies, and strong listening and presentation skills. We believe debate empowers students to become informed leaders, capable of advocating for themselves and others in their schools and communities.

Over the years, we have expanded our reach dramatically and are now the second-largest urban debate league in the country.
