Dallas Urban Debate tournaments are rigorous, engaging academic competitions. For our students, they provide a rare chance to have their ideas about pressing issues taken seriously by adults. Judges play a vital role in this process by listening, offering feedback, and encouraging students as they grow. No prior experience is required—training is provided—and your participation directly helps make these tournaments possible.
1. Dallas ISD Voly Account

Go to https://dallasisd.voly.org/
Follow the steps to complete a background check
as required per DISD.
2. Tabroom Account
​
Create a Tabroom Account (If you already have an account, you can proceed to sign up as a judge)

Visit: www.tabroom.com
Select "Sign-up" in the upper right-hand corner and follow the registration instructions.
*Remember your password, you will need it when you arrive at the tournament.
Once your account is created, you can sign-up to Judge.
Log in to your account and type "DUDA" in the search box in the upper right-hand corner.
Scroll down to select your desired tournament.
Select the "Judge Sign-Up" Tab
Under Judge Categories on the right, select the appropriate Event tab for the event you want to judge.
Add your desired "shift" in the special requests/notes box,
i.e., all-day, morning or afternoon.
Select "Register to Judge."
